Starting out on your yoga journey can feel daunting at times, as can starting anything new. Many people start their yoga journey wanting to help manage their stress levels or become a little bit more flexible and yes that will happen naturally, but the impact is far greater than you can ever imagine so have a look below at my offerings and I will see you on the mat very soon.

All you need to bring is a mat (although a small number are available to borrow), a water bottle, sense of humour and a smile. Each class is filled with varying abilities and ages so please feel confident that you will be supported and guided with light and love. If you are concerned about any aspect of the class or have any medical condition then please do get in touch and I will be happy to tailor the class to suit your needs.

Beginners yoga

In this 6 week beginners course you will be taught the fundamentals of a balanced yoga practice. You will explore postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama), intention setting (sankalpa) and relaxation (savasana). I approach my teaching with a gentleness and openness to all students. I aim to inspire everyone to connect and appreciate their body and how it moves in that moment. This class will provide you with the skills and confidence to continue with your yoga journey

Hatha yoga

This class is designed to nurture the soul and create more balance and space within the body. It starts with breath practice, meditation and intention setting before we move through our physical practice. Often within this class we will practise a short flowing sequence as this allows us to develop this sequence and feel the changes and improvements to our postures and breathwork. The repetition of a short sequence is an excellent opportunity for true mindfulness and immersion into the calmness, stillness and peace that comes with yoga.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slower-paced, more meditative style of yoga that targets the deep connective tissues of the body, such as ligaments, joints, and fascia. Unlike other yoga styles that focus on muscles, Yin Yoga involves holding poses for an extended period—typically three to five minutes or longer. In Yin we will encourage the body to soften and find stillness whilst encouraging mobility. This practice offers many benefits for longevity, flexibility, and overall well-being.

Seasonal pop up yoga classes

In these 90-minute pop-up yoga classes, we will work with the seasons, aligning our practice with the changing energies of nature throughout the year. We’ll adapt our practice to honour the seasonal shifts and listen to our body’s wisdom. This class blends movement, breath, and mindfulness, encouraging you to connect with your true self and take time for yourself.

Monthly pop up’s

Self Care Saturday

This class is a nourishing hour of yoga to start your weekend before we enjoy locally sourced refreshments. It’s the familiarity of the hatha class but with the additional boost of socialising with our yoga community and giving you the opportunity to build life-long friendships with like-minded people.

Rest & Refresh (Yoga Nidra)

This class is a beautiful, nourishing class designed to help the whole-body rest, unwind and refresh the body and mind. We will start with a meditation before moving into gentle floor work and then ending our session with a yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is a deep relaxation technique often known as “yogic sleep” and it is a state between sleeping and waking, induced by a guided meditation. Yoga Nidra has many benefits such as reducing stress, rejuvenating the body and improving concentration. For maximum comfort you are welcome to bring a blanket, eye pillow and warm, comfy clothing to allow you to sink deep into this practice.

Children’s yoga

This class will teach yoga to your child in a fun and engaging way through storytelling, games, relaxation and breathing techniques. I am passionate about this aspect of yoga. As a qualified teacher I am able to confidently support and engage children in their practice whilst also ensuring that the yoga maintains its mindfulness, calmness and holistic benefits throughout. In an ever changing, fast paced world I believe it is paramount that children are equipped for life with these techniques to self-regulate, self-reflect and support themselves. I have seen drastic improvements in children’s confidence, mental wellbeing and composure with sustained and regular practice.

About Faye Emily Yoga

I began practicing 9 years ago after wanting to gain a better work life balance, I instantly fell in love with yoga and found a calmness amongst the fast-paced everyday life. Yoga has become more than a physical practice for myself, it has given me a strong sense of self-awareness and inner peace and ultimately transformed my life.

I qualified as a children’s yoga teacher back in 2016 and saw the positive impact it had on the younger generation which inspired me to gain my adult yoga qualification.

My classes are designed to nurture the soul, create more balance and space within the body. Each class I teach is always formed around my mantra ‘This is your practice, this is your mat and this is your time’. I approach my teaching with a gentleness and openness to all students. I aim to inspire everyone to connect and appreciate their body and how it moves in that moment.

My overarching aim is to create a community of fellow yogi’s who are empathetic and supportive of everyone. In times of high demand and stress yoga has allowed clients to revert back to their practice and adopt their own techniques that work for them in managing their feelings and mental well-being. In my classes you will always hear me saying “it’s yoga practice not yoga perfect, stay true to yourself and remember you are enough as you are”.
